Cooking Hard Boiled Eggs in a Pressure Cooker
Well it’s Easter time and it’s time to cook hard boil eggs to dye. It’s a tradition in our family to dye the eggs, even though no young kids anymore. This year I decided to try and cook the eggs in our pressure cooker we purchased a few months ago.
How to Cook Hard Boiled Eggs in a Pressure Cooker
You will need a basket of some sort because you want to elevate the eggs above the water because you are going to steam them. Place the eggs in the basket, I fit 18 eggs in my cooker, add 1 cup of water, and set the pressure cooker to 6 minutes.
When the eggs are done, release the steam using the quick release method and immediate place the eggs in an ice bath. I used a large pot filled with ice water.
How do they Peel?
The eggs were very easy to peel. As you can see in the below photo, I was able to remove the bottom half of the shell in one piece. It slid right off the egg.
How were they on the inside?
One word. Perfect.
