So I starting having an issue with my 2003 chevy malibu where if I hit the brake, the reverse and turn signal light would light up on the back right rear side. After replacing the brake light bulb and the problem still persisting, I decided to take a better look at the electrical connectors.
Yep! there was the problem. The pigtail connector to the brake light, which connects to the bulb connector plate, had a broken pin which connects the ground wire. After doing some internet searches, I discovered that is a fairly common problem in GM vehicles from the early 2000, however it is easily fixes. I simple purchased a new ACDelco PT246 GM Original Equipment 6-Way Female Black Multi-Purpose Pigtail
